Grow Still (Grandir Encore)  is a not-for-profit Support & Resource Centre for Emerging Adults. Founded in 2019, our work has benefited a small but growing community, which we wish to expand. Our services include individual peer support, group workshops, and discussion circles open to the general public.

Description

We are currently looking for an Events Coordinator, who would also be in charge of maintenance, supplies and inventory once we find and move into our new office/community space. This position would entail running our monthly artistically-driven fundraising events (finding venues/artists/equipment, managing sound & light setup, supporting volunteers).

Qualifications, Requirements, and Eligibility

  • Personal Artistic hobbies/competencies are a PLUS 
  • Fit for manual labor including setup and cleanup for events 
  • Established network of artists in the Montreal community
  • Basic knowledge of technical equipment setup (sound system, microphone, projector, lights) is a PLUS 
  • Competent in coordinating events (outreach, follow-up, making new contacts)

GENERAL FUNCTIONS

Description

We are currently looking for someone to manage social media and our two-month crowdfunding campaign.

The purpose of this role is to plan, coordinate, implement and oversee ongoing marketing campaigns for a range of products and services. Duties include basic graphic design and content for social media, engagement on digital platforms, attracting influencers, monitoring and assessing campaigns, and measuring campaign results .

GENERAL FUNCTIONS

  • Create posts for social media, including designs and captions – communicate needs to Photographer and Content Writer
  • Work with Grow Still staff, including Outreach Worker to develop an effective campaign plan

Description

We are currently looking for a fundraising coordinator. 

The purpose of this role is to create multiple revenue streams for Grow Still and support the development and implementation of an effective outreach strategy with the Outreach Worker and Marketing Manager. 

The fundraising coordinator identifies funding opportunities and takes the steps to obtain them. For example: creates sponsorship packages and finds sponsors, finds grants/subsidies/bursaries and applies for them, supports the event coordinator for fundraising events. Maintaining relationships with the Director and Manager of Grow Still is integral to the position.

This role is one of great responsibility and is key to the success of a rapidly evolving company that is actively making a positive change in the world.

Qualifications, Requirements, and Eligibility

  • Candidates should be an undergraduate student in a relevant field (ideally, grant writing, business, public relations, finance);
  • Familiarity with Montreal-based businesses, funders and government subsidy procedures
  • Demonstrated experience in writing grant proposals and reports to government entities or private funding sources
  • Demonstrated strong written, communication, and organizational skills. You will be responsible for drafting and editing complex funding proposals.
  • You are comfortable collaborating with teams to meet deadlines, taking a proactive approach to keep projects on track.

  • Prepare proposals by determining concepts, gathering and formatting information, writing drafts, and obtaining approvals.
  • Determine proposal concept by identifying and clarifying opportunities and needs, studying requests for proposals, and attending strategy meetings.
  • Gather proposal information by identifying sources of information, coordinating submissions and collections, and identifying and communicating risks associated with proposals and sponsors
  • Where needed, creating financial models or forecasts based on funding requirements.
  • Research and Analysis: Research through a variety of online sources, market reports, client data, and interview notes to develop a coherent narrative for a funding proposal.
  • Application Preparation/Writing: Applications include varying combinations of a project and/or business focus depending on the nature of the request for funding. You will work with your team to write drafts and/or review business plans and/or formal application files.
  • Support negotiation process for sponsorships for specific events

We are currently looking for a Space Manager for our new Community Centre: the StillChillSpace.

The StillChillSpace will be a safe haven for all who feel lost, who are struggling with their mental, physical or occupational health, who feel misunderstood or like they do not belong. It is a place to take respite from the chaos of our fast-paced society, to connect with peers outside of work/school/party environments, to find inspiration and empowerment.

The ideal candidate is passionate, creative, engaging and dedicated to community development. 

The purpose of this role is to manage the space and facilitate therapeutic practises and activities. 

The purpose of this position is to respond to the daily needs of the emerging adults attending the space and/or the workshops and facilitate activities to improve their well-being.

This position will reinforce, practice and model the mental health strategies of the Department of Health as part of the Grow Still Team. This role is leading a group effort. You must manage the space (including staff and volunteers) and ensure the daily activities are running smoothly. As the successful candidate you will provide general support and advocacy to help emerging adults meet their needs by listening to them actively, and by facilitating our community-based programs. Over time you will be able to incorporate therapeutic practices, system approach, cognitive therapy, holistic wellbeing practices, growth mindset practices, intersectional approach, person-centered approaches, resilience theory, Recovery Model, Experiential learning, Psychosocial development and other external expertise. 

Grow Still will help you evolve into these practices. We are here to support the growth of our colleagues internally and externally.
